Final Product: Newspaper Advert

This is the final version of my newspaper advert which will be feature in The Sun.

First Draft

This is the first draft of my newspaper advert.

After reviewing it myself, and asking members of my target audience what they thought of it, I have decided to do the following to my first draft:

Production

I used Adobe Photoshop when creating my newspaper advert. I used several different formatting tools and options from this software to create my newspaper advert.

Layers
I used several different layers in the production of my advert. This allowed me to place the white text against the blue background. I labelled each layer so I'd know what each one contained. Using layers also let me lock layers that I was happy with. This helped me make sure that I didn't ruin my work whilst experimenting with other elements of it.

Day 1

Today I created my newspaper advert. I didn't take me that long to make as I was already familiar with the software and my thorough planning had given me a clear idea what I wanted make and how I should go about doing it.

Manipulation of Images

I had a very clear idea of how I was going to manipulate the images to meet the needs of my newspaper adverts. I had to edit two of the three pictures I was going to include in my advert. To create the main image I had to remove the facial features of the model from the photo I had taken. I did this by using the retouch tool in Picasa 3.
