3. What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

I felt it was important to gather audience feedback throughout the production of my three media products, as it allowed me to see how my target audience reacted to the different products and to find out what they thought about them. Ancillary Task 2: Results

My second ancillary task received a lot of positive feedback. My target audience liked these aspects of my double page spread:
  • Main image. My main image is the most controversial part of my newspaper advert. However, my target audience liked how dark, weird and freaky the picture is and felt these things helped grab their attention. One audience member thought it was a clever visual metaphor representing the anonymity given to social network users. Below is a thought shower of the different words my target audience called the main image. I created this on Wordle.

Ancillary Task 1: Results

I received a lot of positive feedback from the questionnaires I handed out about my double page spread. My target audience liked these aspects of my double page spread:
  • Fonts. They found the fonts easy to read and relatable to the theme of social networking.
  • Layout. They thought the layout was a bit simple but they found that it worked well.
