Animatic

Here is the animatic we have created for our production. We have included all of the transitions and camera movements we will use in the final product.

Audio

We will make our own voice-overs and use background music in our documentary. We have decided to use the following audio from http://beatsroyaltyfree.com in our documentary. We decided to use this piece of music as it's modern and would appeal to our young target audience.

Location Recce & Risk Assessment: Location 3

This is the location recce and risk assessment we carried out at our first location, Mr Parker's office at Manshead Upper School.

Location Recce & Risk Assessment: Location 2

This is the location recce and risk assessment we carried out at our second location, outside the entrance of Manshead Upper School.

Technical Diagrams

We have created technical diagrams to show how we are going to set up the lighting some of the more complicated shots.

Camera Composition
The diagram below shows the camera composition for one of the interview shots.

Location Recce & Risk Assessment: Location 1

This is the location recce and risk assessment we carried out at our first location, Manshead Upper School's Library.

Storyboards

For our product, we have created the following storyboards based on the first 5 minutes of our documentary. We have included a colour coded key to show which part of the description is dialogue, camera movement and sound.

Test Camera Shots

We carried out a variety of test camera shots so we could see what the final filming of the different shots will look like. It also allowed us to experiment with different compositions of the shots before filming the final version.

Equipment, Costume & Props

This is the list of equipment, costumes and props we will be using in our documentary.

2 Column Shooting Script

When researching how to make a documentary we came across a technique used by professionals, like Alan Rosenthal, called the ‘2 column shooting script.’ This can also double up as a shooting script. This allows us to plan what is going to be shown on screen and what voice-over/sound will be playing over it.

Questions for Interview

So we are prepared for our interview with Mr Parker, we have planned what questions we are going to ask him. He has also been sent a copy of these questions so he is able to plan his answers. The questions are:
  1. Have you had any issues of cyber bullying in the school?
  2. What has been the worse case of cyber bullying you have witnessed in your teaching career?
  3. What affect has it had on the students involved?

  1. the name of the documentary
  2. the ordering of topics/events in the documentary
  3. the interview subjects we could use
  4. the locations needed for filming
  5. the presenter
