Subject Matter

As my main production is the subject matter for this article I can use the same information I gathered in my planning for that to provide information for this article. However, I will need some additional information on the documentary. I will need to answer the following things:
  • When the documentary will air and on what channel?
  • Who presents the documentary?
  • Who are the special guests?
  • Who produced and directed the documentary?

1. When the documentary will air and on what channel?
The documentary, 'Faceless,' will air on the Thursday 19th April 2012 at 8pm. It will be broadcast on BBC3.
2. Who presents the documentary?
The documentary is presented by Emily Keens. She is a teenager who will be able to appeal to the documentaries young audience. She also has strong opinions on the issues surrounding social networking so is a perfect presenter for this documentary.


3. Who are the special guests?
Special guests in the documentary include a High School Headmaster, called Mr Parker. He provides valuable information on social networking and its effects on children in school. Victims of cyber bullying are also featured to provide hands on information of their experiences


4. Who produced and directed the documentary?
The documentary was produced by Jasmine Robson and Emily Keens of Bippa Productions. Bippa Productions's is an up and coming documentary production company which aims to tackle modern issues related teenagers. Emily Keens also directed the documentary.

The facts are:
  • 40% of teenagers have reported being bullied online (Cyber Bully Alert, 2008)
  • Facebook has over 750 million users worldwide (Telegraph)
  • The average social network user has 195 friends (Online Media Gazette)
  • Every minute, 24 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube (YouTube Press Center)]
